Insulating Over/Around Wire?
I'm finishing my basement and have the framing and rough electric up and inspections approved.. I now will insulate walls with R-13 and am wondering do I need to split the insulation blanket to cover both front/back of the electrical wiring running horizontally in the stud walls. Some have told me that I can just place the blanket in front of the wire...Not sure if one way is better or worse than the other and not sure if there is a code issue here..
Does anyone know??

It is better to split the insulation to cover the front and back of the wires. You do this in order not to compress the insulation which will reduce its effectiveness.
