Smile Attic insulation

When puting blow-in insulation in an attic, how much r-value is in an inch of insulation? Ive heard 3.1 r-value= 3.7 inches and 3.7 r-value= 1 inch. I Do not know witch one to go by. Dose anyone have any info?

R Values for Blown Insulation Per Inch

Blown Pink or Yellow Fiberglass 2.2
Blown White Fiberglass
(certainteed Insulsafe) 2.8
Blown Rockwool 2.8
Blown Cellulose 3.7
