soundproofing walls

We just remodeled our second floor, and have additional kraft faced R-13. We were going to soundproof some of the bedroom walls with this extra insulation. Is there any reason that we need to remove the kraft paper or can we leave it on?

I would leave the paper on. It can only help and there is no concern for vapor barriers (if kraft paper really is a vapor barrier) since both rooms are in the same conditioned space.

You can leave it on. The temperature is equal on both sides of the wall.
