Sound barrier for water lines in wall

When I turn on the water to the TUB is so noisy.
This is for both, first floor bathroom and second floor bathroom.
When I swith from TUB to shower is getting better but still noisy.
Does any body has a solution?
Thank you!
John

John:

Does the noise only originate when the bath water faucets are turned on? Otherwise, I do not think you need insulation to quiet the noise, as this will not solve the real problem. Your decription sounds like "water hammer" (air in plumbing pipes). You need to get rid of the air in the pipes of your plumbing.

Anybody with more knowledge please correct me if I am wrong.

Andy
