Foam board on interior of wall

I'd like to explain our situation before getting to my question. When we bought our house, the previous owners had closed in the carport for an extra room. The exterior of the house is bat & board siding and those people finished the room in the same style since one wall had the siding. There is roll insulation along the outside walls. We'd like to finish it and are wondering if we can put foam board insulation over the top of the board siding. (We were thinking of doing that and then covering it with sheetrock or paneling) Also, if we can do that, would there be problems with termites? We had our house treated and the Orkin guy said that foam board was bad since it harbors moisture & termites like moisture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Im pretty sure foam board (the blue pink or even white stuff) is far less likely to retain moisture than regular fiberglass batts. Make sure you seal that wall though with caulk/foam before putting up any board.
