Insulation Options

House built in 1954. Frame construction on concrete slab, wood siding. 1/2" drywall interior walls. No insulation exists in any exterior wall except for an addition that I built 3 years ago. What options exist besides ripping out all of my walls, which I really don't want to do?

Blown in insulation. I have done it on a couple of houses. The theory is to drill 1" holes at the top (just below the soffit) and 1/2 way down on the outside of the house between each stud. The nozzle will fit the hole, and you fill up the bottom hole then the top one until the cavity is full. After you fill the bottom cavity, they furnish a plug to go in the hole. Then plug the top hole.
