Question loose fiber-glass insulation in walk-in attic

Hi - I'm a newbie so please excuse what might be a silly question: our new home has a walk-in attic; floor and internal wall is insulated with the original loose fiberglass insulation. It looks like it has taken a beating over the years and is "tufting" out like cotton candy...

As much as I try to keep my 3yr old out, he does sneak in behind me and can't help but touch it, sending the stuff floating in the air and getting in his eyes.

Is there anything I can put over the interior wall insulation at least up to my small-fry's height to protect him from grabbing at it/brushing up against it? Or is this a total no-no.

Quick fix and long term options both welcomed - I need something asap (before it gets too hot) but the budget is tight from the recent purchase.

Thanks!
