Reflective Insulation

Reflective Insulation

we are preparing to install insulation in our attic which only has a 30" clearance. we want to install the reflective foil material but unsure of which to choose-the thin foil or the multi-layered insulated foil. what is the difference between the multi-layered material versus the thin foil material. looks to me like the give the same benefit. should they be used in conjunnction together or can i choose one or the other?

Sheet type RB only give a year or to worry of reflecting. Once a layer of dust settle on the RB the reflective properties drop off sharply. A better choice would be closed cell spray foam or RB paint.
