Prepping walk-in insulation for later walking 2x8s

90 year bungalow with approx 3 inches of insulation currently

I was planning on blowing in insulation

I was thinking of putting a few 2x8s across my joists so in a few spots so I could walk on them as balance beams to get to things in my attic in the future. With 90 year old house access will be required at some point in future.

I realized after working around up there I have a followup quesiton.. I have a bunch of wires running around up there, some inside piping, but most just laying on top of the joists.

Is it ok to blow in the cellulose insulation on top of them, or should i try to lay down the roll/fiberglass and slide them under?
