New home build - when to add insulation?
On a new home build, do you add the insulation before or after the electrical wires are added? What about the HVAC - does the insulation go before or after all the HVAC ducting is installed?

Air sealing and insulation are integrated throughout the construction project. Headers often get a layer of rigid foam. Corners and "t's" that will not be accessible have to be insulated before the sheathing. Even some drywall that is needed as to sir seal goes in with the framing. HVAC ducts all need to be air sealed as they are installed.
As Furd said, the insulation contractor shows up after plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, as when they are done it is best to not disturb their work.
