Insulation identification. Does it contain asbestos?

Can someone please help me identify what type of insulation my house has? I am planning to do some home renovations, and need to know if the insulation has asbestos, so I can take the necessary precautions. I think the house was built in the late 50s. I have attached 2 photos of the insulation. It looks brown and fluffy and covered with brown paper.
Thanks!

Insulation

I am afraid no one can tell by pictures if your insulation contains asbestos, however having said that, I am a home inspector and my guess looking at time of construction it very well could be. You need to have it tested. There is a kit I believe home depot carries for you to send a sample in for test. Keep in mind asbestos is only dangerous if disturbed. Be safe call a pro.

Looks like fiberglass to me. I have never seen asbestos that looks like that. Kind of hard to tell though, pictures are not the best.

Those pictures are terrible. We'll need something better to render an opinion.

Looks like fiberglass, but the only way to be sure is to have it tested, as bperry said.

If it is asbestos, what are you planning to do with it?
