Adding Elec Outlets in Vapor Barrier Wall

Am adding old-work electrical boxes to a wall in a finished basement. Wall is 2x4 with slight air gap between it and the foundation. Wall is insulated and has a vapor barrier which I will be punching through.

How do you maintain the integrity of the vapor barrier when doing this modification?

After you have the cable in the box, use caulk on the outside to seal the other openings in the box. Just push it into place with your finger. After you have the box mounted, caulk the gasp between the box and the drywall.
