So I ordered some Accuvent Baffles and will start installing them when the weather warms up a little bit. My question, should I block my two gable vents before starting the insulation project? I have soffit vents, and ridge vents.

Thanks!

Hi vulcan,
I did not go back and read the entire thread, but if you will have traditional high gable vents working with low soffit vents, leaving the old gable vents in place only increases the ventilation. The real concern is rain or snow blowing in the gables and if that hasn't been an issue it probably will not become one. The old myth that gable vents somehow reduce air flow through the soffits was never correct. They actually increase the pressure across the soffits.

Let me know if I need to review the entire thread, I do get lazy at times.

Thanks Bud! I will leave the gable vents, and ridge vents open....No issues with snow, or rain.
