insulate attic floor or garage ceiling?
I have two carpeted bedrooms above the two car, unheated garage. They are also at the end of the line of the forced gas hot air heating system in my home, so the two rooms are colder than the rest of the house.
Is it more advisable to insulate the ceiling of the garage or insulate the floor of the attic above the bedrooms? I've decided that blown in insulation is best either way but I've received different ideas on the topic and am stymied....what is the best way to go to get the bedrooms to be warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer?

Both!
But I don't entirely like fiberglass. It is the least expensive, but it makes a better air filter than insulation. When enclosed on all 6 sides it does its best, but still not as good as more dense forms of insulation, specifically cellulose.
If for some reason you are going with only one location or the other, the choice would depend upon what is already there.

Unless I'm missing something I'm on board for both as well.
