I am making a bedroom in my brothers attic. We built a 4' high knee wall on each side of the attic. We are using an R-19 faced insulation. If we put the Faced side to the inside of the room and drywall over it, do we need to do anything to the outside of this wall? Will the insulation fall apart over time? Does it make sense to put up some kind of sheet on the outside in order to keep the insulation together or will it hold up by itself?

Put the kraft face towards the heated side of the wall (the living side). Don't worry about the other side. The fiberglass will stay together just fine, probably for longer than either you or I do!!
