Needing to insulate concrete walls

We just got a shop that has concrete walls/floor. Please do not laugh as I am not a handy-woman type of person so do not know where to start.

Please provide (hopefully) low cost and (again hopefully) easy ways to insulate these existing walls.

Thank you!
Rinoa

Welcome to the forums.

Just what do you intend to do with this shop? How warm does it have to be? What's the budget?

What mitch17 said. More information never goes wasted on us. We like a lot of it, but not in dissertation format. Pictures of the shop area would be a bonus. http://www.doityourself.com/forum/el...your-post.html

The shop is a mechanics shop. Pretty warm but not blazing of course. I do not have pictures available right now but can get soon. Budget is undetermined right now. Trying to get a feel for what we will need and pricing for it to see how quickly we can afford to put it up

Until the pictures come in, it will be important to note any XPS (foam) wall insulation will need to be covered, so if what you have is concrete block showing, building a 2x4 wall out from the existing concrete, then insulating that cavity would be best. It will also allow you to run your electrical/communications in the wall out of harm's way. It will need a substantial covering over it, like plywood, as it will take some abuse, I feel quite certain. Plus, the plywood will allow for hanging of tools, side lighting, etc. which are needed in such a shop.
