Tyvek used on the inside - Toronto area

We are converting the garage into a living room and we used Tyvek on the inside. There is insulation under the Tyvek and on top of it is the wood framing and more insulation will be placed on the wood frames, then drywall on it.
Later I read that this might have not been a good idea, that Tyvek placed on the inside will create mold. However is already installed and all the wood framing sits an the Tyvek and we can't remove it without redoing the project. Can someone please advise if the Tyvek assembled between 2 layers of insulation can create mold. If yes, would painting the Tyvek with something help?
Thank you.

Sounds like all you need to do is take a knife and cut the tyvek out.

Can Tyvek® be used on roofs? Under floors? On the interior?
No, these uses are not recommended. All Tyvek® products in Canada and the U.S. have been tested and approved as products to be installed behind exterior walls. However DuPont™ Tyvek® Protec™ provides a high-quality roof underlayment choice.
