Should I shoot expanding foam here?

I am in the process of replacing my fascia trim and noticed that I can see some light shinning through the wooden blocks that are nailed between the rafters when in my attic.

Even though my eaves don't have any soffits and are enclosed with stucco, perhaps this is a good time to shoot some foam between the edges of those blocks (from the outside)?

And exactly what will that resolve?

Foam is not a sealer, it's got some insulation properties but for a fascia/roof/overhang/joist/blocking I dont think it's going to do much!

the thinking is to "air seal" the attic but perhaps that should only be concerned with the attic floor and not anything above that.

Yes, air sealing is an excellent thing to do but that occurs at all the openings from the living environment, the drywall!
