Any important differences between Fiberglass manufactures?

I will soon be installing fiberglass insulation on my attic floor; is any one manufacturer better than another?

Also, would you know of an inexpensive wholesaler in the NY tristate area?

There basically is no difference between manf. of the insulation.
R-19 is R-19, R-36 is R-36. Any place in the world it is the same.
The really only difference is the backing. All in all they are about the same. I doubt very much if you could find any wholesaler to sell you any insulation. It is so cheap, it would cost more in gas then you would save. Besides that they would make you buy at least a semi truck load. Thats how it is sold to stores.

As far as differences in effective R-=values all fiberglass insulation is basically the same... Owens Corning, Knauf, and Johns Manville are not as dusty as some of the other brands..

Home depot will beat any price by 10%

So you might shop it first and save a few dollars off their regular price..
