Perfect foundation plants??

These forums are GREAT!!

Hubby and I are building a house, and I am trying to choose the PERFECT foundation plants that will require next to NO trimming.

I live in zone 5, and I need plants that only get to 2 feet high and some that reach 3 feet.

I have been looking at low-growing azaleas, rhododendron, and holly.

Any varities of any evergreen-type plants would really be appreciated.

If you are already looking at dwarf and semi-dwarf plants, such as: Gumpo Azaleas, then you are in the right place. Depending upon your zone, azaleas are evergreen. There are many short plants in the range of plants. Junipers, Nandina, Pierus, to name a few. You could wander through your local nursery and check the labels on plants that appeal to you. Most labels show the mature height and width.
