Trees

I am planning on buying several trees from an online nursery. They will be shipping me the trees in October. The trees will be dorment. My question is do I have to plant them at that time or can I wait until next spring? If I can wait, what do I need to do to take care of them?

Thanks

Most places ship plants and trees when the appropriate time for planting is near. I would check with the place you are buying them from or a local Nursery (NOT a Big Box store) to find out. I have trees from the Arbor Society that I have planted in containers and will bring them inside if I do not get them planted before the freezes come. Good luck.

They ship them in late October. If I keep them inside, how do I care for them?

I have checked with my local Nursery and got the info for inside care. Local places know the weather conditions and what certain trees need to survive.
Please return the favor of getting info by purchasing any products needed from them. It's only fair and you will build a relationship that will benefit you in the future.
