Growing a cool Palm tree

Hi, I would like to put some kind of palm in front of my condo . The area I'm looking at gets approx. 4hrs. of sun in summer and temps of 60f - 75f(15c - 22c) . In winter about 1hr. of sun and temps 35f - 55f(2c - 13c).
Any ideas.
Thanks,
Stephen

since you dont freeze, just about any palm would work. a good short slow grower is a sago. a good multi trunk to about 8' is a mexican fan. for height go with a washatonia[sp.].

Palms

If palms grow in your zone, there is at least one nursery in your area that specializes in them. Pay them a visit and get their advice. Some need more care than others, and some can be quite messy. The showy ones are generally the slowest-growing. Sagos are the most expensive, while washingtonia, palmettos, and fan palms are less expensive. There are too many varieties to recommend.
