HOllow wooden floor.

HI,
I have a big backyard with wooden flooring .
Today while cleaning i found that there is a hollow under some wooden planks. The metal rod i had went under the planks to abt 10-15 inches.
I did not see any termites there or in near vicinity.

We have recently moved in this house and the previous owners said they had the termite inspection.

the foundation of the house is of cement,so i would doubt if the termites have an underground accsess.
can anybody help me to know what it could be.?

It is possible that the 'hollow' under wooden planks is simply a result of soil not being leveled perfectly flat before wooden deck was installed. If boards are hollow, then this could be due to decay and/or insect damage.
