Leveling an area ?

I need to level out and area in my upper yard about 20' x 20'. Is there an easier way to do this other than digging it all up and then having two people draggin a 2x4 across the dirt ?

I am trying install a new pond and then to lay some stone down around the whole area to create a patio type area. Any suggestions out there ?

To level the area, you could just bring in soil and strike it off level with a 2x4 or some chain link fence.

For the patio around the pond, you could just lay the stone in sand with the dry laying technique.

leveling the hill ....

Agreed but the way the landscape is and where it is at would make getting fill very hard, or harder than just tearing up everything there and leveling it all out.

Since I posted this I have dug up a lot of it and just keep spreading it all out. Once I get the "hill" knocked down and eyeball the area to level, I guess I will drag a 2x4 across. Once I dig out the new pond I am putting in I will re-level and see where I am at.

Thx again !
