Tree for small space?

We live in the city and the houses are quite close. When we sit on our side porch, we look out onto our neighbors back yard. She's a great lady and all, but I don't know if I want to spend the next few years looking at her laundy drying on the line (unmentionables flapping in the wind is not too relaxing to me.) Additionally, her 2nd floor window looks into our back yard. We'd love to get some privacy but our space is limited.

Is there a relatively fast growing, small spread, 20-25' tall tree out there? We only have about a 10' diameter to work with where we'd like to put the tree. Also, not a big fan of evergreens. Pretty limiting, eh? Please help if you can!

There are a couple of dwarf crab apple trees that are narrow enough for your space. Ten feet is rather a small space for a tree to spread. The cultivars are Red Baron and Tina.
