Sand - crystalline silica

I'm noticing warning labels on some kinds of sand sold in bags about crystalline silica, dangerous if inhaled. Others don't have it, like play sand. Can anyone tell me how to know when I am buying sand with or without this stuff when I buy in bulk from a landscaping yard?

Sand - crystalline silica

Sand is crystalline silica. Most is about 99% pure silica.

When very finely powdered (respirable) if could be considered potentially dangerous.

Any clean or washed silica sand would not be dangerous.

Some people just listen to different attorneys when they print the labels.
