Unhappy Patio stone layout... slope away from house...

I'm planning on doing a patio in my backyard using slabs of concrete or interlock. The grading of our backyard slopes away from our house. I used a laser level and its about 6" difference in height, from the back of where the patio would end, to the house. Is 6" of slope over 17' too much for a patio? I don't want to be sitting on a slope having my guests feeling like their going to fall out of their chairs. If its too much, how can I fix it? I'd prefer to have the least amount of other materials showing as possible.
Thanks!!

Hi Smoothie,

A 1/4" slope per foot would be good. So you should have about a 4 1/4" slope. I've also seen recommendations of 1" per every 8'. That would be 1/16" per foot.
