We have one of those large rollout yard waste cans the city furnishes and dumps. We bag our grass and that is the can's primary purpose.
It stinks to high heaven!
What do ppl do to make it not stink?
Is putting bleach or baking soda a safe solution?

You can put those things in the empty can to stop the smell, but unless you put the grass in tied shut garbage bags it will stink. The grass is decomposing due ti heat and moisture. It has to be sealed in garbage bags to prevent the smell from escaping.

Grass clippings emptied weekly stink? Hmm. [Do you have outdoor pets?]
Two things to remember about microbes: they need water, and the anaerobes tend to smell worse that aerobes. You want to let the stuff dry out and get plenty of air.
Don't pack the material in tight, keep it covered, and let it dry out. Can you drill 1/2" to 1" holes in all four sides of the container, and smaller ones on the indented part of the base?
My compost bins never stink, but they have a greater variety of material in them.
