Flagstone on slope?

Hello. I have a slope in my backyard that is steep enough that it's hard to mow. I was driving around the other day and I noticed a front yard with a steeper slope that had flagstone over the entire slope and I liked it. My question is: My slope has grass on it. Is there an easy way to simply affix the flagstone to the ground (pegs, wedges, cement.. etc.)? I know it sounds lazy but no one uses that slope for walking so it will only be for looks and I think it will look great - I just don't want the flagstone to slip down the slope. Thanks in advance!

Not to sound contrite, but did you ask the folks with the steeper slope how theirs was done? I'd also try and find out how long it's been there and how it's holding up. That is where I would start.
