Question Best way to raise sunken sprinkler heads?

I have multiple sprinkler heads in my lawn that are way to low. What's the best method for raising them? The heads are connecting to 'funny pipe' which is then connected to the main PVC line.

Do I need to dig all the way down to the funny pipe and move this, or is there some sort of extension I can get for the sprinkler head?

dont bother digging it all up. You will have a hard time getting that funny pipe to look straight once you do. Instead get some 1/2" (small spray heads) and some 3/4" (larger rotor heads) risers.

The plumbing department and myself call them different things, but they have a female threaded end and a male threaded end. Basically you unscrew the head, screw the riser on, and then put it all back onto the pipe. Just be careful to not get any dirt in the pipe before you put it all back together.

Hope that made sense for you, I am looking for picture examples but am having no luck yet.

Thanks! I did a little more research after reading your post - are the risers similar to the first picture on this website?

more like this:

much less of a pain to use. if you used those flexible nipples they can be difficult to install and far more difficult.

Also, on the turorial, the flexible riser they show on the bottom that displayed--never use that if you can. They kink easily, prone to tearing and often pinch off the water line.
