Automatic sprinkler valve question

We have an diy sprinkler system. It has worked fine for 12 years, we were doing some work on the system and decided to put in new valves while we were doing the work. Two valves are to drip systems in the shrubs.... work fine as always. The lawn sprinkler one does not seem to have the old pressure and there is a rattling sound in the valve when it is running that the other two do not have. We even bought another new valve thinking something was wrong with the new valve. We are not very techie and have tried everything we can think of. Can anyone suggest a cause for this? Thanks for your help.
