Carb in Weed Eater

I bought my husband a weed eater over the summer, but the carb keeps getting gummed up because of alcohol in the gas. What is the best solution for this? I have tried stabalizer, and it does not work.

Seafoam has worked for me, other than that i would drain it at the end of every season.

If you do not use those small tools a lot one gallon of fuel can last for a very long time. Has your husband been using the same can of fuel during all these troubles? I wonder if the fuel was dirty, the wrong oil or the wrong oil ratio and he keeps using the same bad batch of fuel. Most 2-stroke oils already contain a fuel stabilizer so adding more stabilizer can cause problems.
