Pesticide granules on new unestablished lawn

I just laid down a new seeded lawn that hasn't sprouted yet. Yesterday, the pest control guy came by for his monthly service and put down pesticide granules directly on the lawn's surface. He left a note for me saying the granules won't affect the new grass in any way, but I'm skeptical!
Can anyone tell me if those granules are harmless or will they hurt my new lawn?

Bug stuff shouldn't hurt plants...as long as there was no weed control mixed in.

I have to ask - where are you? It's December and you're planting grass?

Yep, December doesn't have the same meaning in SoCal compared to most other parts of the country when it comes to weather.

Gunguy, thanks for your two cents.

The only way to be sure is to ask your guy what exactly he applied. Need A.I. Im curious why he would apply anything to bare soil without your knowedge.
