Briggs and Stratton carb

We have a Husqvarna YTH 1746. We are trying to troubleshoot some starting issues and are looking to replace the carb. We have removed the carb to check the part number but the only numbers stamped on the carb do no match any on the Briggs and Stratton website. Does anyone have any suggestions? The engine motor model was partially rubbed off the engine cover but what we can see is 311777... The numbers on the carb is 3070 498887. None of these numbers are listed on the Briggs and Stratton site. I tried to upload pictures of the carb but was unsuccessful. Thanks for any suggestions.

Unless physically damaged, I can not imagine any carb that can't be repaired.
If your problem is not solved, write me and give me the full particulars, another words, what is the complaint. Tom
