new patio compacted lawn

We just had our tired old 22 year old wood deck removed and replaced with patio pavers. The result is fantastic!

The downside is that our yard was the pathway for the Bobcat for over a week. The contractor put down plywood for the Bobcat to drive on, but there was still some damage done to the lawn. The contractor will repair anything that needs done. I am wondering if the lawn needs to be aerated where the soil has been compacted?

This is not a problem for this contractor as they also have a lawn service as part of their company.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Daniel

Yep, core aeration was the first thing that came to my mind.

Has the soil actually been compacted? It is possible but the grass may just have a smushed look from the plywood and traffic.
