Dog marking the lawn
I have 2 American Cocker Spaniel dogs and they are free to play around our lawn but one of them marks an area and the grass is turning brown already. I'd like to maintain my lawn but it is just impossible with this little pooch. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.
With dogs enjoying the yard, it's pretty tough to keep the grass looking perfect. Other then blocking off that specific area of the yard, there is not a whole lot that can be done.
If it is possible, I wonder if you could convince the dog (and or both) to use another specific spot in the yard. My parent's old german did this same thing, using a specific piece of the yard for his business. Luckly he picked a fairly hidden area (maybe a shy dog I guess).

Keep the dog off that spot is the only real solution but Mark's suggestion will help mitigate the damage to some degree.

If you have dogs and they're allowed in the backyard (not sure why they wouldn't be), you're not going to have a good looking back yard. Period.
We specifically bought our house because it has a huge backyard for the dogs. They dig holes. They've worn pathways inches deep from chasing each other again and again over the same areas.
Playing and pooping and peeing are the only purpose your dog sees for the yard. That's not going to change.
