Sprinkler system

Shopping for one -- new install.
Have 2 bids both come highly recommended.
One is a Rainbird - Hunter system, the other is Irritrol - Weathematic.
I'm familiar with the 1st but never heard of the 2 nd.
Basic quarter acre city lot.
One bid is 7 zones, 35 heads for $2500.
The other 9 zones, 43 heads for almost $4000.
Is Irritrol - Weathermatic really that much better?
Or should I be concerned about being taken?

I like rainbird hunter and what I use.... but thats not the issue... 35 to 43 heads is a big difference... 7-9 zones... You need to tell more... The GPM plays a part and what heads and coverage... Sprays , rotors, overlap....

I would want max overlap and proper gpm...

Depends how the property is...

Cant give a good answer based on the info you provided....

Its not the heads or brand....

Sprinkler system

The only thing I can add quickly is gpm stuff. I don't recall the exact numbers but one bidder said it was an installer's dream - excellent pressure and flow.
Both had a combination of rotors and sprays -- mostly rotors with 6-8 sprays each. Both aimed for at least double and sometimes triple coverage.
Sorry I can't add more.
