sprinkler blowout, backflow mechanism maybe not working right?

Hello,

I'm trying to blow our my sprinklers, and well, it's not working. The below picture shows my setup. Although the picture below shows the lower test cok open, I understand that is wrong. Anyway, when I attach my air compressor that is set to 20PSI to the upper test cok air comes out of the backflow mechanism at the top. What am I doing wrong? If i spell cok correctly the forum asterisks it out...

Thanks for the help!

You need a large volume of air and a little more pressure to get the backflow valve to seal shut.

You could install an air inlet valve on the other side and you wouldn't have any more issues from the backflow valve.

yes more pressure needed, you can also use the bottom cok with better results of sealing but it may vibrate which can damage the poppett on febco's yours is not a febco so it appears.

@PMPJmax,AMwannabee

That was it, needed more pressure. 45PSI to the line at least. Thanks!
