Heavy duty landscape fabric

About 8 years ago the landscaper used this heavy duty brown landscape fabric where if 2 people pull and tug against it you will not be able to rip or break the fabric. Water does filter through it and I am having trouble finding this type on line or at Home Depot or Lowes.

Does anyone know where in NJ you can purchase the commercial heavy duty fabric. I have to create "French Drains" in the back yard and need something that will withstand the test of time as 3/4" crushed stone is going over it with black corrugated piping and then more stone plus red stones. I do not want to touch this for 20 years. This fabric was lifted up after 8 years and no dirt was on top of the fabric which was under 3/8" red stone. Contaced the landscaper and waiting for a response.

Thank you.

Try a nursery, the bigger the more likely they will have the commercial stuff.

I am headed to Clayton in Freehold. They carry quality products. A little more expensive but worth it.

Thank you.

I buy mine at the local lumber yard.
It's called driveway cloth or silt screen around here.
It's used under rock driveways to stop the stone from sinking into the ground.
And behind retaining walls or rip rap on a shore line.

I found some nice heavy duty black 3' by 300' for about $76 @ Clayton in Freehold NJ on Throckmorton. The same 300 feet from Lowes is about 2/3 of the size. You can tell this is very thick material and will get the job done.
