Sprinkler System will not work

I have just tried to use my sprinkler system for the first time this season.

The controller is getting power and the meter valve is open, but there is no flow in any zone.

I have removed the rain sensor and tried individual zones, but all with no luck.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

Welcome to the forums.

Based on the type of system.... most zone valves have a handle that turns the valve on manually. Check you valves for that feature and try it.

Is your sprinkler system getting water? Maybe you turned off the water feeding it at the end of last season.

I checked to see if there was a manual lever on my valves...as far as I can tell there isn't.

And yes, the water is on to the system.

Any other ideas?

Problem Solved!!!

So after talking with Rainbird (manufacture of my controller)...we determined the ground wire was broken...since it is the only wire common to all the valves.

So repaired the wire and problem is solved.

Thanks for all your advice in this situation.
