What kind of weed is this, and how do I get rid of it?
Hi guys, what kind of weed is this and how do I get rid of it? It seems to be taking over parts of my lawn behind the house shaded area.

Banned. Rule And/Or Policy Violation
I have no idea what it is, but keeping weeds at bay, generally calls for proper pH of the soil. Have you had your soil tested? The best thing I do to my acreage is introduce lime before growing season, usually around mid February. Weeds like acid soil, so it is an indicator yours is somewhat too acid. One of our more educated plant identifiers will be along shortly to help with the Id thing.
