Question Clearing rocks in yard before mowing

I have a professional mower and trimmer coming this summer. To what degree should I be concerned about the potential for any unseen rocks or stones to be thrown by his large mowing machine and hitting a window? If I should be, what is the easiest way to identify any rocks that might be big enough to be an issue and then clear them from the yard?

I'd be removing what rocks I could as they'll impede the growth of the grass.

And how would you remove them? What process is quickest and easiest?

Is this area grass now and being mowed? A professional mower will be about the same as a residential grade mower.

The area has always been grass and it has been mowed year after year regularly for a few years now. I was not the one who mowed it so that's why I ask. This will be the first time it gets mowed this year.

It sounds like it's been routinely maintained so there really shouldn't be an issue with rocks now. You should always be on the look out for wayward rocks and other hidden hazards that can be thrown by the mower.

If they can be raked up they should be removed but if the area has been mowed with no issues with the rocks - then I wouldn't expect any issues.

Red face

I would do a visual inspection first but then go over it with the rake to make sure. Sounds like it may have been cleared already but its always worth checking.
