New groundcover, or New weeds?

I'm in the Seattle area, and basically neglected our yard since the spring. The dirt is now covered with this low-lying, fast-growing green stuff. Is this a weed I should remove, or ground cover I should cultivate?

Note: there are things that clearly are weeds mixed in with it.

Whether or not it's a weed is all up to you. If you want to keep it it's called ground cover. If you don't want it it's called a weed. If you neglect your yard you probably want to keep it since it looks better than bare dirt. At least you know it's a plant that will thrive in that location.
