Enclosed Pergola

Hi guys, After searching online for hours, making stops at Lowe's, Home Depot and Menards I am a bit stuck.

I have a Pergola I believe it's 12x7 that I am wanting to somehow enclose, but only when I want it enclosed. I have searched for those roll up shades and the biggest I've found was 8x6 I think.

Now I know absolutely nothing about landscaping, patio's, pergola's or any of that. This is my first house. I'm wanting to enclose the pergola completely, but only when necessary.

I have thought about sliding doors, somehow custom curtains and tonight the guy gave me the idea of doing in a sense a garage door.

Curious what you guys think and if you had any advice on the matter.

Thanks!

By virtual nature of a pergola, it is open. Why do you want to enclose it? It would seem to negate it's original purpose. You can have custom made roll up shades, but I would go no wider than 6' on the long side due to sagging of the material. Once installed, you will need to contend with the wind whipping through the shades and making a mess of them should you forget to retract them.

You want it fully enclosed or just for bugs? you can get large rolls of bug screen that you could hang and pull open when there aren't bugs.
