significant grub damage

do I just roll up and trash the dead grass or treat over it and hope it recovers?

if I roll it up, can I treat grubs and seed at the same time?

you probably can't tell from the picture but there were plenty of them. If you can see all the little white dots in the picture there were probably 50 of them in that one area. I put down grub killer (I know its late in the year but they were very active when I pulled up the grass). Question remains about what to do with the dead/dying grass. pull it all up or hope it regrows in place?

I found some Sevin in our shed from years ago, that I used for grubs. Could not read directions. I would toss the affected grass, put down the Sevin and buy some sod and piece it in. I'm no expert....so ask around at local small garden centers.
