Question Prevent run-off from damaging my lawn?

Hi All,

My street is on a slight incline. The neighbors who are above me have an irrigation system - one that is flooding a spot in my yard from the runoff. They've got their lawn guy working on adjusting the sprinklers to prevent or reduce this as much as possible.

If they can't fully stop that area from getting water, what are some solutions I can do on my end? If you look at the pic below, the water is coming from the far side. Was thinking about digging a small trench under the fence and filling with rock so the water has a place to drain. I'm open to any other ideas too.

I would buy a few rolls of sod from a local nursury and lay them down in the corner. It will love the water and will probably be the nicest grass you have in your whole lawn. Plus the sod might just raise the ground level high enough that it doesn't run under your fence as bad.
