Can I mix and match irrigation system brands?
Are irrigation system sprinkler system parts made to be mixed and matched? Another word, if I want to use hunter heads on my Toro or Rainbird, is it possible? Are controllers are also made compatible with different brands?

Certainly the controllers are independent of the valves as long as the voltages are the same.
As far as I have seen the sprinkler heads, the nozzles are unique and not compatible.

I mix and match parts all the time. I've got Orbit emitters on Rain Bird pop-up's and vice versa.
