Help identify vegetation
I am hoping that someone can identify what this vegetation is. I am in Maryland. I have not yet treated it with anything but would like to get rid of it. Is it a weed? It's taking over my lawn, and it certainly isn't grass.

I believe you have what's called Creeping Charlie. Small amounts can simply be pulled by hand. Cheap and effective.
If you prefer to use chemicals, look for a broadleaf herbicide that contains the chemical triclopyr or dicamba. Application timing is important... while you can apply herbicides anytime, it is most susceptible to herbicides when flowering and in the fall.

I have also had good luck using products containing 2,4-D. It's a broad leaf herbicide that will kill broad leaf weeds like your creeping charlie and not harm most turf grasses.
