Is it too late to re-sod

I live in Georgia (metro Atlanta) and have a Bermuda lawn. My lawn needs to be re-sodded and I have an estimate from a landscaping company to do it. Bermuda goes dormant here about November and stays that way until April.

Would it be better to wait until the spring of next year when Bermuda starts growing well again to do it or would it be better to do it now. The Bermuda growth spurt starts to slow down about September.

It should be ok to lay sod most anytime of year although sod laid now will require more watering than it would in the spring.

I would wait until at least September aiming to install the sod when daytime temperatures are peaking in the low 80's. You can install sod now but you MUST have an irrigation system as it probably will need watering 2 if not 3 times a day for the first week or so.
