Damp Fertilizer

I left a bag of Scott's fertilizer in the bed of my truck and it got rained on. The bag was sealed but the material is damp and thus clingy and does not want to flow properly thru my spreader. I've got it all spread on a tarp in the driveway in the sunlight. Is there anything else better to dry it up for use?

You're on the right track. Spread it out on sunny or low humidity days. Then run it through your spreader.

I used my 10" x 10" tamper to try to bust up remaining clumps some. Its drier now after a few hrs in sunlight but not dry enough. Picked up the tarp by all 4 corners and dragged it into the garage. I'll put it back out tomorrow some if its sunny. Thanks for the help.

My local mill has a special every May and I purchased an entire seasons worth of weed and feed and had it out under a tarp and basically had 10 bags just like you have, never did that again!
